Every piece of video created starts from this initial interview with the storyteller. Interviews range from 1-2 hours in length.
The inspiration behind the project
“The inspiration for the Many Years Legacy video project comes from my relationship with my own grandmother, June Day—or as we lovingly call her, Grandma June Bug. Since I was a little kid, she has been my biggest supporter and inspiration and is the one who encouraged me to pursue my passion of working with cameras. It was a privilege to utilize my experience with video production to record her telling the stories that we all hold so dear. She graciously agreed to let me interview her on-camera and I captured more than two hours of priceless audio and video that has already blessed our family immensely. Here is a three-minute clip from that interview.”

Special messages
Imagine 20 years from now, your son or daughter is at their wedding reception. The lights turn low and a video of their great grandma comes on the screen with a special message for them at this special moment in their lives. There will not be a dry eye in the building. Special messages are a beautiful way to connect across generations and provide a legacy from those who may no longer be able to speak on the occasion of a milestone, whether large or small. These can also be a precious chance to say those things they have always wanted an estranged loved one to know. What a powerful opportunity!
How It Works
Planing the shoot
The first step would be a conversation with the family. Our team will meet with the family and make sure we ask all of the right questions so we don’t leave anything out. We will have a detailed questionnaire that will include the best stories to ask, favorite memories, family member, special relationship and the best pieces of wisdom to ask during the interview process.
Conducting the Interview
Armed with the families requests, two cameras, lighting and a comfortable chair, we will provide an experienced Interviewer to make sure your loved ones feel comfortable during the process. A typcial interview lasts about 1 – 1.5 hours. We are very sensative to energy levels and will accomodate accordingly.
creating the memories
After the inteview takes place, our team of video editors will take the footage and begin piecing the stories together based on the pre-arranged package the family has requested. When all of the footage is complete we will deliver all elements via digital download so you can share with the entire family.
